Richard Bailey

Corporate Law

Richard has advised business clients of all sizes on a wide variety of corporate and real estate matters.  His corporate experience includes entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracting, debt and equity financing, and other general transactional matters.  He also regularly counsels both buyers and sellers in completing mergers and acquisitions across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, health care, beverage distribution, banking, and professional services.  Richard’s real estate practice focuses on structuring, negotiating, and closing real estate transactions and negotiating and preparing loan documents, commercial leases, easements, licenses, and other real estate agreements. 

Prior to joining Stock Legal, Richard practiced at two large St. Louis firms, where he focused on corporate and real estate law.  He also gained practical business experience working in his family’s real estate company, where he served in multiple roles, including in-house counsel, asset and transaction management, and company leadership.  Richard also founded and runs a real estate firm focused on multifamily investment and management.   As a result of his business and legal experience, Richard has an in-depth understanding of how legal issues impact clients’ businesses, allowing him to provide sound legal advice that is also practical from a business perspective.           

Richard earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law while also earning a Masters in Accounting from Saint Louis University’s School of Business.  Prior to law school, he received his B.B.A. with double majors in Finance and Accounting from McKendree University.
