Sarah’s practice focuses on general corporate work for small to medium sized businesses. She advises her clients in all areas of the business lifecycle including entity formation, financing, contracting, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general business matters. She enjoys working with clients who are passionate about their own businesses in part because she has been surrounded by family businesses much of her life. Sarah’s father started and grew a research firm during her childhood. Her husband is the third generation in his family’s industrial contracting company. Sarah understands firsthand how challenging and rewarding family businesses can be. After law school, Sarah spent several years as corporate counsel for a publicly traded company headquartered in St. Louis where she concentrated in commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, compliance and government regulation. She decided to attend law school after working for a few years as a legal assistant, primarily with the finance practice group of a large New York law firm.
