Caroline Smith - A Day in the Life of a Stock Legal Intern

Hi! My name is Caroline Smith, and I am an Undergraduate Legal Intern at Stock Legal. Here is a day in my life!

I start my day at 6 a.m. when my alarm goes off. It usually takes me about 15 minutes to actually get out of bed, and then I hop in the shower. Once I get ready, make breakfast, and pack my things for the day, I am out the door by 8:20 a.m. I stop by a gas station or coffee shop for my morning caffeine and then head to the Stock Legal office.  

I start my workday at 9 a.m. with the other interns. We all share an office and help each other with our projects throughout the day. First, I always check my emails and the project list to see what needs to be done. I spend my day working on individual and group projects, sometimes shadowing meetings, and trying to learn as much as I can from the attorneys and the Legal Associates.  

At Stock Legal I help with research, emails, organizational projects, and legal documents. It gives me the opportunity to learn more about the legal field and exposes me to real-life experience. This helps me grow both professionally and personally. I work two days a week, so I help with any projects that need extra hands.  

After work, I go home and get ready to go to the gym. After going to the gym, I eat dinner with my parents and then talk to them for a while after dinner. After dinner I like to either hangout with my friends or relax by reading a book or watching one of my favorite shows. I usually like to go to sleep early since I have summer classes, work, and this internship.
