Maya McConnell - A Day in the Life of a Stock Legal Intern

Welcome to a Day in the Life of a Summer Administrative Operations Intern at Stock Legal! A good day starts with a good morning, and for me, that means taking time to move, reset, and prepare for the day ahead. I like beginning my mornings with some type of movement, whether it’s a workout, a run, a walk, or a Forest Park crew workout. It’s my time to clear my mind and start the day feeling energized. After my workout, I make my way back home to shower, get ready, and make breakfast before starting my day.

One of my favorite parts of the morning is walking to get coffee and then to the office with my mom. We usually stop at Kaldi's, where I grab my go-to: an iced vanilla latte. It's the perfect way to ease into the workday.

Once I arrive at the office, my day begins to pick up. No two days at Stock Legal are exactly the same, which is one of my favorite parts. I spend my time working on a variety of projects, tackling different challenges, and learning something new along the way. There is always something exciting happening.

Around lunchtime, I take a break to eat and recharge before jumping back into my afternoon. The rest of the workday is spent working on projects and finishing tasks. Before I know it, 4:00 p.m. rolls around, and it’s time to head home.

But my day isn’t over yet! After leaving work, I head home to change and get ready for my second role of the day: gymnastics coach. After I finish coaching, I head home, have dinner, and take some time to wind down. I get everything ready for the next day, relax, and prepare for a good night’s sleep before doing it all again. Every part of my routine brings something different, and that’s what makes each day exciting.
