As many of you know, our fearless leader Sara Stock founded Stock Legal in 2014. Since then, our firm has flourished into the innovative, non-conventional law firm that it is today with continued success and growth in all our practice areas. Throughout our growth we have remained a woman-owned business and certified by the Women Business Enterprise National Counsel (WBENC). This certification validates that the business is at least 51 percent owned and operated by a woman. At least one woman must have control of the business, manage day to day operations, and control of investment of capital to qualify. Once certified, women-owned businesses are designated as WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises, or commonly referred to as WBEs.

But it is more than just a certification and a logo, the WBE certification provides opportunities with major corporations and governments from the local to federal level. It also gives us a vast network to collaborate with other women-owned businesses. It also gives us access to work with National Corporate and Government Members of the WBENC that are seeking to do business with WBEs, from companies like Amazon, Apple, and Google, to professional sports leagues like the MLB, the NBA, and everything in between.

Stock Legal has leveraged its WBE status to work with government entities and help our clients obtain tax credits for housing.

If you are a women-owned business seeking to become a certified Women Business Enterprise, we can help you determine if you are eligible. Getting certified and joining WBENC provides a network of thousands of other women-run businesses and access to educational and business development programs as well.

If you are interested in working with a women owned and WBE certified business, please reach out to Stock Legal! We are eager to work with you and spread the word about WBEs!
