Welcome Ashton Whitehurst, The Newest Member of Stock Legal!

Hello! My name is Ashton Whitehurst, and I am beyond excited to be joining the Stock Legal team as the Administrative Support Specialist! I have been at Stock Legal for almost 2 months now and I feel as though I have found me forever home. I knew from the moment that I talked to Jen and Sara that this was the break I have been waiting on to be able to fully enjoy the career path that I have chosen, and with the perfect mixture of administrative and legal duties I couldn’t be happier.

I attended Meramec Community College on a full-ride basketball scholarship later transferring to Southeast Missouri State, where I studied criminal justice with a minor in criminology. I have always wanted to be in a career where helping others who couldn’t help themselves was a focus. I started my legal journey at a small firm that allowed me to be an intake specialist with no legal background at all. This is where I found my love for working in a law firm, listening to client stories and just needing someone with the knowledge to point them in the right direction tugged at my heart stings if you know what I mean, and I was hooked. I have been in the legal field going on eight years now working in multiple areas of law from general law, mortgage foreclosure, traffic and criminal law, personal injury, and estate planning. So far estate planning is my favorite; the work is so fulfilling, and I look forward to continuing that work here at Stock Legal along with learning about new areas of the law.

I have never felt so openly welcomed at a job before as I did here. Everyone at Stock Legal is so friendly and there is never a day where there aren’t smiles on my co-worker's faces. The time and effort that Sara puts in along with our core values to ensure this is a happy work environment is greatly appreciated.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and face timing my niece and nephew who live in London, thank goodness for technology. My fur baby Remi who is a 2-year-old Shih Tzu is my world, she keeps me on my toes. I am an avid concert-goer and attend them every chance I get but my love for all sports is unmatched, especially my newfound love of hockey. If you know you know!
