Hello! My name is Cori Stewart, and I am absolutely elated to join Stock Legal! My greatest joy in my work is connecting with clients to provide creative solutions to complex problems. My main areas of practice are litigation, real estate, and estate planning. Stock Legal’s focus on supporting its clients aligns perfectly with my approach. I received my Bachelor of Social Work from University of Missouri- St. Louis. My background in social work laid an excellent foundation for legal advocacy, as it required considering clients’ needs within the broader tapestry of their lives. After attending Saint Louis University School of Law, I first worked as a nonprofit attorney in Illinois, focusing on housing law, estate planning, and impact litigation to address inequity. Immediately prior to joining Stock Legal, I practiced employment law as an Illinois assistant attorney general. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, and I can usually be found hiking one of the beautiful trails within a few hours of St. Louis any Saturday. Among my greatest achievements this year was climbing my first 14er in Colorado. My longtime trail partner is my 17-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Izzy.

Through a specialized honors program at St. Joseph’s Academy, high school junior Mallory Kirkpatrick stepped out of the classroom and into Stock Legal to explore the reality of a career in law. Her experience highlights the vital role of teamwork and professional culture in a modern law firm, proving that early career exploration is about much more than just learning legal skills.

People often ask me why I love my job—helping clients with their estate planning. The answer is simple: my clients themselves. Every meeting is a new opportunity to connect with people and hear their stories. I get to learn about their families, their careers and the lives they’ve built—often over decades of hard work, sacrifice and love. It’s a privilege to sit with them and see everything they’ve accomplished laid out on paper.
