During the summer months, I love to run into AO & Co for a morning coffee. It's the perfect place to stop on my way to the office!
I get into the office around 9 a.m. to start the day. Today is National Intern’s Day, so the office wanted to surprise everyone with some treats from St. Louis Kolache! My personal favorite is the sausage and gravy. We all take a few minutes to catchup and enjoy the kolaches.
After that, I sit down at my desk to review my calendar for the day and any new messages I have received. Today, I have a few calls to talk through transaction plans and some drafting details for a few different agreements. The attorneys here do a great job of including the summer associates in all parts of the clients’ legal journeys. Fortunately, all of us get to work in the same space, making it easy to collaborate on a variety of topics. We always enjoy working on new projects as a team!
For lunch, we often sit outside and take a few minutes to relax. All three of our summer associates this year attend SLU Law School, and it has been fun getting to know each other. We discuss weekend plans, school schedules, and more.
I spend the afternoon working through a few different assignments. Because Stock Legal offers remote work to its attorneys, any questions I have typically go through Slack. Everyone is always so quick to respond and ready to help!
When it hits 5 p.m., I head home for the day. Tonight, my fiancé and I are having dinner with a few friends at Pizzeria da Gloria. We absolutely love it there and recommend it to everyone! Afterwards, I spend a little time working on a few more things before heading in for the night.
Overall, each summer I have spent here has been rewarding. Working at a hands-on firm like Stock Legal has given me valuable insight into what it takes to serve clients in a meaningful way. I am grateful to have the privilege of working alongside such a hard-working, knowledgeable group. I say this to everyone I meet, but we truly have the best team!

My typical weekdays start at 7:45 AM. I wake up and groggily silence my alarm as I contemplate if I can sleep for another 5 minutes. After losing that battle, I get out of bed and get ready for the day. I brush my teeth, throw on my clothes, and pack my lunch. I get into my car a little after 8 AM and drive to the office.

I begin my day usually around 7:30 am... or at whatever hour of the morning my one-year-old tuxedo cat decides to wake me up. I first must attend to her needs, including her breakfast and opening up the sunny window, as otherwise she will meow incessantly until I do.
