Meet Natalie Jaggie! The Newest Member of Stock Legal

Hello! I am thrilled to be writing as one the newest members of the Stock Legal team.

A little bit about me and my path to becoming an attorney:

I was born and raised in Kansas City (the Missouri side! For those who are curious). I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up until I started watching Law and Order Special Victims Unit in the 8th grade. After watching a few episodes, I was hooked and convinced that one day I would be the next Alex Cabot. Fast forward a few years, I decided that criminal law and courtroom drama were not for me, but I still knew I wanted to attend law school. I didn’t know exactly how my dream would play out.

During undergrad, I worked part-time for Sephora, and one day it hit me – “How cool would it be to be an in-house lawyer for this amazing company?”. I started to run with that idea until I learned that the United States HQ for Sephora was in San Francisco, California, a city and state that, while beautiful, I had no desire to move to. Nonetheless, this realization planted a seed that would lead me to become the lawyer I am today.

The path to law school was still yet more windy than anticipated. In 2014, I completed my undergraduate studies in French and international business, but I still needed a concrete plan for continuing to law school. So, I took a year off and worked for the nonprofit The Blessing Basket Project, n/k/a Ten by Three, serving as the Director of Special Projects, helping artisans worldwide, and working with them to lift them out of poverty.

After my gap year, I was back on track to fulfill my dream. My path took me to Saint Louis University School of Law, where I focused my studies on international and transactional law. With interest in business and transactional law, I spent a semester working in the Entrepreneurship & Community Development Clinic, a summer working at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri in the Community Economic Development Unit, and another semester in a corporate counsel externship position at TKC Holdings.

My experiences during law school led me to my first position as a practicing attorney at Goldenberg Heller & Antognoli, P.C., where I helped individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits achieve their goals by counseling them on corporate governance matters, commercial and real transactions, intellectual property matters, and estate planning. From GHA, I transitioned into an in-house position at Cedarhurst Senior Living. There, I spent the last few years managing various legal and business matters pertaining to the company.

Last summer, my husband and I welcomed our first child, Christopher. They say that having a child changes everything. Boy, isn’t that the truth. After returning from maternity leave with a new perspective on life, I realized I needed a change. That’s when I was introduced to Sara and Stock Legal. And, as they say, the rest is history.

I’m excited to be joining such a progressive, forwarding thinking firm. Let the adventure begin!
