I start each morning by waking up at 6:45 am. I usually eat some fruit and cereal for breakfast while I complete the day’s wordle, connections, and crossword puzzle from New York Times.
I start each morning by waking up at 6:45 am. I usually eat some fruit and cereal for breakfast while I complete the day’s wordle, connections, and crossword puzzle from New York Times. Around 7:30 am I start getting ready for the day. I always lay out my outfit the night before, so I don’t spend 20 minutes in the morning trying to figure out what to wear to the office. At 8:40 am, I leave my apartment to head to the office. If I have the time, I will stop by Kaldi’s to get an iced matcha or chai latte. I arriveat the office at 9:00am and am ready to begin the workday.
Once I arrive at work, I greet the people I see as I walk to my work table. I first check my email inbox and Slack to see if there are any new tasks or projects that need to be completed. Once this is done, I start in on one of the large projects that the interns have been assigned; currently, I have been working on the recorded deeds spreadsheet. Throughout the day, I will usually be sent smaller tasks to complete, like preparing estate planning documents for signing or legal research for the corporate team. This morning, I was able to draft a certificate of value and learned how to file a deed in St. Louis County. The attorneys have been really great about giving the interns tasks like this so that we gain experience with the actual day-to-day work of transactional attorneys.
Around noon, I usually take my lunch break with the other interns and, if weather permits, we eat lunch on the back porch. Today, though, we sat in on the business development lunch meeting, where we listened to the attorneys offer insight into how they create meaningful business relationships. After the lunch meeting, I return to my table and finish any of my tasks that are time-sensitive. Throughout the afternoon, I also spend time working on larger projects and any other tasks sent to me.
My day at the office ends at 4:00pm. After work, you can usually find me spending time with family, going to happy hours with friends, or catching up on my current TV show. Around 9:30pm, I start getting ready for bed and pick out my outfit for the next day. I end my night with a few chapters of whatever book is on my bedside table.
Lucky for me, my Stock Legal workday starts at 10 in the morning rather than 9 like the other interns. Still, my day begins at around 7:30 when I wake up, eat breakfast, and get ready for the day

I begin my day usually around 7:30 am... or at whatever hour of the morning my one-year-old tuxedo cat decides to wake me up. I first must attend to her needs, including her breakfast and opening up the sunny window, as otherwise she will meow incessantly until I do.
My weekday mornings typically start around 6 am when the sun starts shining! I love to let the light in and wake up slowly. After that, I head downstairs for coffee. While I get ready, I sip coffee and listen to some music. Around 8:45 I head out the door and make my way to the office.
