
Throughout Sam’s career, whether in private practice or in-house, his focus has been on helping business owners achieve their goals. Most recently, he served as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for a national financial institution with its headquarters in St. Louis. As the organization's senior-most legal counsel, he assisted the company's leadership with a wide-range of corporate legal matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, litigation strategy and management of outside counsel, and regulatory compliance. He also regularly represented the company in connection state and federal compliance examinations. Sam’s time as General Counsel gave him a fresh perspective and in-depth understanding of the business needs and decision-making processes of his clients. Previously, Sam was an associate at a St. Louis firm, with a primary focus in litigation and corporate law. Sam received his J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Missouri. Sam lives in Webster Groves with his wife, Molly, and their daughter, Caroline.
